Feather Headdress...

  1. Measure the circumference of each child's head and note.
  2. Cut 2-3 inch strips of corrugated cardboard (a mailing box) in the measurement of their head + one inch for gluing.
  3. Let child decorate the band with crayons, paint, or pieces of paper, while hot glue gun in heating up.
  4. Let each child choose 1-3 feathers for headdress.
  5. Have an adult (you) dab a dot of glue onto feather end and poke into a corrugated cardboard hole. This will look best if done toward the edges of the band so that it will be near the back.
  6. Wrap band around child's head to adjust so it's snug, then hot glue it - end to end.
  7. Place hat on child.
